Student Programmes

We offer a variety of undergraduate schemes - whether you are looking for a year in an organisation before you go to university or if you have the option of a placement year as part of your degree, we have a student programme for you.

For all our student programmes we look for undergraduates who have both strong academic capability and behavioural skills:

  • A team player - as you'll be working with a variety of different people, from different backgrounds at all levels across the organisation.
  • Effective Planning - from the day you start your placement you'll need to balance your workload in order to meet the deadlines
  • Enthusiasm - so you are motivated to achieve everything you want to during your time with us.
  • Time Management - so you can manage your day-to-day activity and prioritise your tasks accordingly.
  • Business Awareness - some research into the energy industry will help you understand the role National Grid plays.
