Employee Resource Groups
To support our employees and because we are passionate about the difference each of our employees brings to work, we have a variety of employee resource groups established to provide a mutually beneficial relationship for our company and our employees.
These groups include:
- Enabling, our disability network, is aimed at all employees not just people who might be perceived to be 'disabled' employees - most impairments are not obvious.
- ONE supports, enables, leads and embeds inclusion and diversity within National Grid. ONE also supports National Grid to become an employer of choice for ethnic minorities, promotes fair opportunities for everyone and leads the awareness of ethnic minorities and cultural diversity across National Grid.
- Pride exists to promote equality in the workplace, their aim is to support our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender (LGBT) colleagues and to act as a primary point of contact for all those interested in or affected by LGBT issues.
- Women in Networks (WIN) creates a supportive environment where men and women can learn from and network with each other. It offers new opportunities to enhance their personal and professional development and be the driving force for women's development.
- Faith @ Work aims to educate our employees about the variety of different faiths of our employees. We recognise that people come to us with a variety of cultural, religious and community influences and we provide facilities to accommodate this as much as possible.
